Business Development Specialist - Remote

Reports to: SVP of Business Development
The Business Development Specialist focuses on growing a business and extending the reach of our services in order to increase revenue. The duties includes identifying new sales leads, pitching the company’s services and building and maintaining strong relationships with new and existing clients.
Essential Job Functions:
¨ Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including new markets, new clients, new partnerships or new products and services
¨ Create and implement strategies to successfully reach new business opportunities. Expected to use strategic email campaigns, high volume cold calling, follow leads, etc
¨ Build relationships with new clients, gauging their needs and developing proposals to address these needs
¨ Maintain and develop relationships with current clients
¨ Pitch services to new and existing clients
¨ Attend conferences and events to build relationships with industry partners and staying up to date with new trends
¨ Create sales forecasts and actively working towards reaching them
¨ Maintain a strong understanding of the company’s services, the competition in the industry and positioning
¨ Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to ensure that business development activities and materials are correctly aligned with business needs

¨ A solid understanding of business and marketing principles
¨ Not inhibited from making cold calls
¨ Adaptable and flexible
Education and Training:
¨ Bachelor’s degree in marketing, accounting, finance, business management, business administration or another related field preferred
Experience:
¨ 3+ years sales experience in a similar industry and a strong sales record
¨ Business development experience preferred
Work Physical Demands:
¨ This role functions in a home office environment and frequently uses Computers, Microsoft office, multiple monitors, printers, scanners.

The employee is required to detect details at close range, distant range, and be able to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate.
Hours/Shifts:
¨ Monday-Friday, hours to be determined with manager. This position may be requested to work after hours and weekends to meet deadlines and company needs.
Travel:
¨ Travel is generally not required, however there may be periodic company gatherings which the role must attend.
