The Credentialing Coordinator is responsible for verifying the identity and qualifications of candidate providers. This position plays an integral customer service role by verifying the provider credentials on behalf of the credentialing team and monitoring expirables. In doing so, they reduce the administrative burden on the credentialing specialists and ensure information is accurate and complete for Providers. This role’s work is a vital part of credentialing and contributes to the continued success of the team and the business.
Credentialing Specialist
The Credentialing Specialist is responsible for verifying the identity and qualifications of candidate providers. They are also responsible for data entering, gathering, and primary source verification of healthcare practitioner information, including in depth, detailed, or challenging research of information. This position will be responsible for obtaining and renewing licenses for locums physicians and advance practice providers and managing the state licensure process. Additional responsibilities will include working with providers to ensure they are credentialed and privileged for assignments and supporting the credentialing team.
